The ReCo has produced two videos on innovations in the social economy in Quebec. Two students in Quebec were engaged to produce these videos under the supervision of Quebec ReCo members and with the full participation of actors in the social economy. These were produced as educational / training tools for our colleagues in Latin America. The social economy in Quebec provides an important example of social innovation with significant socio-economic and policy impact. The policy environment that has developed to enable the social economy in Quebec and in Canada under the previous government is the result of what we are referring to as multi-stakeholder policy dialogue, the centerpiece of our research focus.

This documentary presents the social economy enterprise “Projet Part” (Return to Work Training Program) located at the Technological Park Angus (http://www.sda-angus.com) at the Rosemont neighborhood in Montreal. The mission of this project is to assist individuals with mental challenges in their reintegration into the labor market.

The documentary on the experience of social economy actors over the last ten years on the occasion of the “Saison de l’économie sociale et solidaire”, a series of events held across Quebec in the fall of 2006 leading up the Social Economy Summit in the fall of 2006 that attracted over 700 participants including representatives of more than 20 countries.
